The
Evidence-Based Review of Moderate To Severe Acquired Brain Injury (
ABIEBR) is a joint project to develop an evidence-based review of the literature for rehabilitation or rehabilitation-related interventions for ABI. The principle of the ABIEBR is to improve the quality of ABI rehabilitation by synthesizing the current literature into a utilizable format and laying the foundation for effective knowledge transfer to improve programs and services.
The
ABIEBR was designed to identify two areas:
1. Areas in rehabilitation for which strong evidence for effectiveness is
lacking and therefore require further research;
2. Areas where the research evidence is strong and should be
transferred effectively to improve programs and services.
